The good old 2CV was probably the most popular vehicle of the French car manufacturer Citroën. The development of the VW Beetle pendant began in the 30s. The first near-series model was presented on October 7, 1948 in Paris. Initially smiled at by the specialized press, the 2CV became one of the most known vehicles of France in the following decades. Between 1949 and 1990, 3.868,631 Citroën 2CV examples were manufactured as well as 1.246,335 examples of the 2CV van. For its 60th anniversary, Herpa raises a little monument for this historic vehicle in form of a model set containing four differently designed 2CVs. Among them a white vehicle with red fenders and red trunk lid, a convertible in black and a closed vehicle in yellow as well as one 2CV type “Spot” as blue/white convertible version
