This Henschel HS 140 trailer is a true vintage vehicle of the railroad-owned company. The original of this model was operated Germany-wide as general cargo transporter. The internationally active logistic- and forwarding company was founded in 1872 by Gottfried Schenker. In 1931, it was taken over by the former Deutsche Reichsbahn and after WWII, was also owned by the Deutsche Bundesbahn until the Stinnes AG took over the majority of shares in 1991. In 2002, the Stinnes AG again was taken over by the Deutsche Bahn AG. Today, Schenker is part of the transport and logistics resort of the DB AG. The Schenker group employs nearly 55,000 staff members worldwide at 1.500 locations. One of their tasks is heavy load transports with special vehicles and cranes.
