The Porsche 959 was a supercar and was considered the world’s fastest series-production vehicle with road approval. With its numerous technical novelties back then (e.g. turbocharger and an electronically steered variable all-wheel-drive) it was considered a harbinger and the best, what automobile manufacturing had to offer. In April 1987, the 1/87 scale counterpart was released which had also been a prototype. The 929 was the first high-tech model with moveable hood and replicated motor. Reason enough for a remake.
